A Savannah man wanted for Murder by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department was arrested in Ocala, Florida by the United States Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force on May 1, 2013.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Ashleah Hyder, 25, and Kyle Robert Reese, 51. The unit took action after receiving a request from the Leesburg Police Department to locate the suspects.

The 17th Annual Leesburg Bikefest, the world’s largest three-day motorcycle rally and music event, will take place the weekend of April 26 to 28. Marion County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Detectives arrested 46-year-old Mac Vernel Sessler, charging him with two felonies. Deputies contacted Major Crimes around midnight Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in reference to ongoing sex crimes.

James Lawrence Parker, 35, is facing charges of sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation. At this time, there is at least one victim. Parker was arrested Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

Israel Zachariah Smith, 21, and Bruce E. Dutton, 40, both of Belleview, are in the Marion County Jail facing trafficking methamphetamine charges.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Squad with the assistance of the Ocala Police Department arrested an Ocala man charging him with trafficking in a controlled substance.

Kenneth Calvin Cox III, 38, is in the Marion County Jail after getting arrested for trying to race away from Marion County Sheriff's Office patrol units.
