On November 23rd the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit initiated an investigation targeting several individuals in the Leesburg area who were negotiating the purchase of large amounts of cocaine and marijuana. The investigation revealed that Patrick Elagha, owner of PGE Auto Sales at 120 N. 14th Street in Leesburg, Florida, was coordinating the purchase of trafficking amounts of cocaine and marijuana.

In early July, detectives with the Lake County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit initiated an investigation targeting two suspects who were looking to buy larges quantities of cocaine. During meetings with one of the suspects, identified as Ramon Luis Santana, undercover personnel, Santana agreed to purchase one kilogram of cocaine from the detective at a later date.

In the early morning hours of April 4, 2012, Ms. Auchtung agreed to sell and delivered approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine to an undercover operative in the parking lot of a Tarrytown convenience store. Ms. Auchtung was immediately arrested.
Around 3 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011, Deputy Trevor Fitzgerald conducted a traffic stop at 318 Oak Track Crescent, Marion County, involving a white Chevrolet sedan for a tint violation. When the driver, Jeffrey Clarke, opened the door, Deputy Fitzgerald could smell a strong odor of marijuana and saw a plastic bag hanging out of Clarke’s pocket. Clarke was placed in handcuffs and put in the deputy’s patrol car.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Palatka Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the HIDTA Tri-County Narcotics Task Force arrested three (3) individuals after an intensive two-month joint investigation. During the Putnam and Marion County portions of this operation, agents seized three (3) kilograms of cocaine, two firearms and $69,167.00 in cash.
